Chief Logan State Park offers a variety of events from a spring wildflower walk to summer amphitheater performances or Christmas (Lights) in the Park, you’ll find something planned.

27th Annual – Sue Browning Wildflower Hike
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. registration. Coffee, juice, pastry.
Place: Museum in the Park, Chief Logan State Park.
Door prize: Lap sized quilt; winner must be present, unless on a trail.
Trails for today’s walks/hikes are the Wilderness Trail (most difficult); Woodpecker Trail (moderate); and Shawnee Trail (easy).
Lunch offered from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at $10 per person in advance by April 15, 2010; $15.00 day of event.
Menu: Chicken salad/croissant sandwich, vegetable soup, creamy potato soup, cake dessert and beverage

Museum in the Park currently is hosting an exhibit of local and statewide pieces including quilts and coverlets, sculptures, and paintings. This facility is operated by the WV Division of Culture and History. It is a wonderful site for groups, schools and visitors to visit and learn about West Virginia.

Enjoy beautiful light displays as you drive throughout the Chief Logan State Park.
All displays light up at dark and stay lit until 10 p.m. Admission is free; donations are accepted.
